This is probably our most experimental album. Written and produced after the whirlwind of touring, we were exhausted and looking for a new approach. Inspiration came, in part, from the Todd Oldham book “Handmade Modern”. In it Oldham shows how to make beautiful, modernist furniture from humble sources. So, this record was produced using mostly acoustic instruments and found sounds, but treated and manipulated into something very electronic and modern. And still, at the core are pop songs straight from the heart.
